Working Together to Stay COVID-19 Secure

At Mr Misty we are delighted to be back supporting customers in the Colchester, Chelmsford and Ipswich areas as COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease.

But every step of the way we are staying alert and operating with your health and safety in mind.

We have also looked into how we can do our bit to help businesses comply with COVID-19 related restrictions and guidelines by offering a new service designing and installing bespoke sneeze guards.

COVID -19 I How the Mr Misty team is staying alert

How is Mr Misty Ltd going about its misted windows, secondary glazing and window repair surveys and installations during COVID-19 times?

We’ve done our homework. The Government has produced a series of documents which explain how companies can responsibly carry on their business during this time. This includes how to work safely in other people’s homes.

We are staying diligent as well as alert and as these guidelines are refined.

We are endeavouring to be aware of their latest directive.

Following these guidelines, we are assessing the risks of work in our offices, as well as in customer homes and businesses and taking all appropriate measures.

These include:
•    Cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance
•    Home-working support wherever reasonable
•    Maintaining a 2m distance in all workplaces
•    Where people cannot be 2m apart, doing everything practical to manage transmission risk

If you’d like to look at the Government guidelines, 'Working safely during COVID-19 in other people's homes', you can find them on the gov.uk website here »

COVID -19 I Mr Misty working with everyone’s safety in mind

We also have access to supportive information from our trade bodies, like the Glazing Federation. From wearing masks to managing distanced contact, the Mr Misty teams around Ipswich, Chelmsford and Colchester are operating with the authoritative guidelines in mind and where it is safe for us all to do so.

We share specific, pre-prepared information with all our customers before carrying out any external visit, so that all procedures, potential contact points and social distancing requirements are clearly explained whatever the scenario.

Some of this information may seem trivial - like don’t be offended if we don’t shake hands, or accept your offer to hold the end of the tape measure – but it has been thought through to prevent awkward or uncomfortable situations from arising.

We also respectfully ask that customers let us know if they are self-isolating. We will always happily reschedule the appointment before our arrival at your home or business.

As the Government may re-evaluate its advice at any time, our preparations include procedures should Government guidelines change and affect our ability to operate. You can rest assured that in such situation, we will let you know as soon as possible and ensure that your property is left in a secure state if work has already commenced.
